Keizer Fire District Honors Outstanding Service

The Keizer Fire District held its annual Firefighter Reception on Monday, January 26, 2015. The ceremony introduced new recruits, swearing in of new Firefighters by State Fire Marshal Jim Walker and the presentation of the District’s service awards.

Volunteer Firefighter Jason Perkins was recognized as the Keizer Fire District’s Volunteer Firefighter of the Year for 2014. The Employee of the Year Award was presented to Public Education Specialist Anne-Marie Storms. The EMT of the Year award was presented to Firefighter/Paramedic Rachel Brozovich. Jarhed Ascencio was announced as the recipient of the Rookie of the Year Award.

Retiring Director Mike Hart was awarded a helmet signed by District firefighters for his eleven years of service to the Fire District.

New employees Firefighter/Paramedic Josh DeBoer, Firefighter/Paramedic Bryce Denfeld, Firefighter/Paramedic Ted McClung, Firefighter/Paramedic Mike McIntosh and Firefighter/Paramedic Andrea Tardio were introduced to the District Firefighters and their families.
