Fire District Annual Report

Keizer Firefighters had a record year with call volume and events. This year we were deployed to four large wildland fires, responded to record breaking call volumes and continued to serve pancakes, take Santa to deliver candy canes and support our Keizer Citizens.

This year’s Annual Report provides a wide variety of information on major accomplishments, training activities, annual incident response data, fire loss statistics, activity statistics, and prevention and life safety statistics for the Keizer Fire District.

Fire Damages Keizer Duplex

Keizer Fire District responded to a report of a house fire shortly before 8:00 am today. Upon arriving at the duplex, firefighters observed heavy smoke and flames coming from one of the garages.

The caller who lived in the garage reported the house fire on Pierce Drive N in Keizer at 7:53am while he was evacuating the home with his dog.

The Keizer Fire District responded to the report of a house fire shortly before 6:30 pm Sunday evening. Upon arriving at the house, firefighters observed smoke and flames coming from the front of the home.

Large field fire in North Keizer threatens several homes

Five fire agencies responded to the scene of a three alarm high risk grass fire this afternoon near Keizer, located in a large wheat field. A farmer had been cutting the chaff in his harvested wheat field when a bearing went out on the tractor and caught the field on fire.

$1,500 per term, mentoring, training, community service opportunities, interview techniques, response experience

Requirements:

  • Currently and or participation at an accredited college
  • Valid and insurable Oregon Driver’s License
  • NFPA Firefighter I
  • NFPA Driver
  • NFPA Hazardous Materials Operations Responder
  • Oregon EMT – Basic (Preferred)
  • NFPA Pumper Operator (Preferred)
