Climbing for a Cure

February 18, 2015

Keizer Fire District firefighters are asking for your help in raising funds for the upcoming Seattle Firefighter Stair climb on March 8th, 2015. The climb is held at the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle. It benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a foundation that supports patients and families affected by blood cancers. The climb includes a race up 69 floors in full firefighting gear and is attended by teams from all over the world.

Keizer Fire District’s team is comprised of Firefighter/Paramedic Rachel Brozovich, Firefighter/RN Amber Butler, and Firefighter/Paramedic Jeff Gallinger. The team is aiming to raise $5,000 for the climb.

The firefighters are holding a fundraiser at Abby’s Pizza at 3451 River Rd N in Keizer, on February 24th from 5pm until 9pm. Abby’s is donating 25% of the profit from all food items purchased by patrons with a fundraising flyer (must be in hand at time of purchase). Flyers for the event are available at the Keizer Fire Station. All donations go directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Donations for the climb are also being at the station or online at:
