Resident Volunteer Program
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Posses a valid and insurable Oregon Driver License
- Enrolled as a full-time student in the Fire Suppression Program at Chemeketa Community College (other accredited college programs will be considered)
- Successfully pass a physical exam, including a drug test
- Successfully pass a background investigation and DMV check
Benefits:
- Free housing at the Keizer Fire District’s station
- Shared dorm room, study area, computer access w/ internet, paid utilities
- Up to $5,250 per calendar year in tuition reimbursement
- Receive fire and EMS training and experience
- Use of station uniform, structural turnouts and wildland gear
